Integrity Week 2025

Integrity Week is an annual campaign hosted by the Office of Student Conduct and the University Student Judiciary to promote character, ethics, and integrity in all aspects of campus life. This year’s theme, Navigating College Today, Building Character for the Future emphasizes how daily choices shape ethical character. We hope you join us in conversation around how each of us as Terps foster a culture of honesty, accountability, and responsible decision-making daily. We hope you join us in celebrating and recognizing Terps who exemplify integrity!
This year, Integrity Week is March 3 - March 7!
Catch University Student Judiciary for sweet treats in front of McKeldin, register to participate in one (or both!) of our Restorative Justice Circles to build deep connections with the UMD community. The fun doesn't stop with just these events! Be sure to follow us on Instagram for updates (@ConductUMD and @usjumd) to continue these conversations and celebrate Terps who demonstrate outstanding integrity for updates and more information. Descriptions and/or registration for specific planned events are described below.
Restorative Justice Circle Registration
Inspired by indigenous values across the globe, restorative justice is an old but new (to us) philosophy and theory of justice. It emphasizes bringing together those affected by wrongdoing to address needs and responsibilities and to heal harm within relationships. Many people mistakenly assume restorative justice is solely a conflict resolution process that comes into play after harm has occurred, but the circle process can be preventative for future harms.
The two circles during Integrity Week are meant to be community building spaces that embody restorative philosophy as we introduce it to campus life.
We will be hosting one virtual and one in-person circle, click on the register now link to sign up! Thanks for being a part of the University of Maryland's journey in implementing a new resolution process and philosophy <3
Monday March 3, 2025 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Thursday March 6, 2025 3:00pm-5:00pm

Join us for a Restorative Justice Circle on Charting New Connections. This event will be held on zoom from 1:30p-3p.
In this Restorative, Community Building Circle, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and get to know other Terps. In restorative, community building circles, participants actively listen to other circle participants, share their own thoughts and stories in response to questions, and honor each other's humanity along the way.
Restorative circles tend to begin with a formal opening, whether it be a grounding breath, quote, or activity, and include time for participants to respond to questions to explore a particular topic, and end with a formal closing.
Join us on March 5, from 10a-3p, as we celebrate UMD’s Giving Day and the valuable opportunities it creates for University Student Judiciary (USJ) members through the USJ Scholarship. The event will be held outside McKeldin on the steps. Stop by to connect with USJ students, listen to their experiences, and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and sweet treats—while supporting a great cause!
Find this event at Studio A, located on the basement level of STAMP!
Join us on March 6 from 3p-5p in Studio A for an in-person restorative justice circle, paired with a succulent pot painting activity. Just like plants need strong roots to grow, our character is nurtured by the values we uphold. In this Restorative, Community Building Circle, join us in painting and decorating pots for succulents while engaging in a meaningful discussion on how our values shape personal growth and integrity.
